Under the leadership of Mr. Mangal Singh Tamang, president of the NEFIN DCC-Solukhumbu, five teams comprising of 5 to 15 members set out on a door to door programme - campaigning and creating awareness in different villages of Solukhumbu on the role of Indigenous Nationalities in the Constitution Assembly. Village level committees were also formed in places where Janajati population was a majority.

CA Election in Solukhumbu:

Election was conducted in a fair & peaceful manner without any disturbances. The ballot box reached the district headquarter (Salleri) on 29th Chaitra. The vote counting started on 30th Chaitra and the result was announced on 2nd Baisakh, 2065.

Mr. Gopal Rai - Communist Party of Nepal (Maoists) won the election with 19,095 votes.

NEFIN DCC - Solukhumbu organized a     program to congratulate Mr. Gopal Rai on his victory.
