DJS organized 3rd general assembly meeting in Janakpur on 17-18 November 2005. Thousands of Danuwars from 20 plus districts of the country took part in the assembly meeting. Dr. Om Gurung, NEFIN General Secretary addressed the inaugural function of DJS as chief guest. Dr. Chaitanya Subba, JEP Project Manager also addressed the assembly meeting emphasizing on the inclusion of female and marginalized Danuwars within DJS organizational structure. For the first time representatives from different parts of the country participated in this assembly and members of DJS were selected from these representatives. Danuwars from assembly meeting has really built the confidence of Danuwar community which helps in forming a unified community
