The World Bank provides a sum of $ 30,000 Grant Facility for Indigenous Peoples (GFIP) to NEFIN to conduct a research project entitled "Insurgency and Displacement of Indigenous People of Nepal". NEFIN was selected after reviewing 650 grant applications from 65 countries. The GFIP supports sustainable, gender inclusive and culturally appropriate development projects planned and implemented by and for Indigenous People.
The research project is an action oriented research study, which will analyze the ethnic and caste based dimension of internally displaced persons with particular focus on the nexus between poverty, social exclusion and difficulties faced in maintaining daily life.
