The seventh session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNFPII) started from 21st April to 2nd May, 2008 at UN Headquarter, New York. The special theme for the seventh session is about climate change, bio-cultural diversity & Livelihoods - the stewardship role of indigenous peoples and new challenges.

Mr. Nima Lama Hyolmo, NEFIN's Secretary (Foreign Affairs) and Dr. Krishna Bhattachan, NEFIN's advisor left for the US to participate in the program.
